TRUSTEE

Martin Mackey, MS, Special Ed., has worked with at risk students for the last 25 years both in public schools, and private wilderness therapy programs in the western U.S. He has been instrumental in the development and growth of multiple educational programs. Martin has provided professional development to a wide variety of educators, policy makers, and is always eager to collaborate with others to initiate positive change for Maine’s most fragile students. Martin is currently the Director of the Rethinking Responsive Education Ventures( RREV) which is funded by a$17 million dollar grant from US ED. The mission of RREV is to amplify the existing innovative culture by prototyping and beta testing with new and innovative solutions to education outside of the traditional structure of “school.”

I also love exploring the great state of Maine through human-powered adventures. Skis, Bikes, boats, and boots are my preferred mode of travel.
